Ethanol is still too expensive

In other countries than Denmark, they already use ethanol as fuel for cars.
By using ethanol we will only pressure the environment 1/3 with CO2.
Why don't we use ethanol in Denmark yet?

Scientists think that we will be using ethanol in the future, but there are still a lot of things which are missing. Ethanol is still too expensive to produce, and the fuel will be too expensive for people to pay, as things look today. We also still need a lot more research.
A lot of pressure will be put on the agriculture in the future, because now they not only have to produce food, but also fuel. It will be a change which will cost a lot, and it will need bigger resources.
A political interest may help to make the subject more important, and a tax relief could make people more interested in using the new fuel.

Even though there's a lot of work to do, we actually already have the possibility at some gas stations to use 5% ethanol when we fill our cars with fuel.
Hopefully we will soon be able to use 85% ethanol, and maybe we can make a better environment in the future.
